Thanksfelix Bowl VII: Thanksfelix Isn't All That Clever In Retrospect Player Bio (11/7/2017)
Kenny Kawaguchi is a nice guy with some surprising talent. He can move pretty quick, has solid hands and has excellent stamina. Charlie is also a nice guy with stamina. Kid can roll out of bed and run sub 27. Plus, I️ trust his hands when I️ throw the ball in his direction. Both Kenny and Charlie are perfectly capable players.
But here’s the thing: while you are out there, appreciating the friendliness and the lack of fatigue, you forget that these kids are broken. Kenny is in a wheelchair. Kids legs are more paralyzed than Justin Finch-Fletchley after he saw the basilisk through Nearly-Headless Nick. He’s not gonna be able to jump up and catch passes. Meanwhile, if Charlie jumped up and made a catch, he would come down on his fragile shins and immediately get a stress fracture. So essentially neither of them can jump up and make a play on a deep ball.
If you can wrap your head around that, you will be pleased with the receiver you have on your squad. If you read too much into those players player awards you will end up with a heart more broken than Charlie’s tibia.
